bunniebabes:

My NEW JOB had their birthday celebration, on Saturday, and this was the limited edition product they had! Honey Hugs smells just like Honey I Washed the Kids and it is AMAZING!

Were you at the LUSH store in Macy’s San Antonio yesterday? :-) That is my store and I went to their Birthday party too. I saw this on the table too…weirdly, I never bought it. And now, I am regretting it completely! :(

Sunday night shower

Tonight is the date night with my hubby! So this is what I used-

  1. Creamed Almond & Coconut Smoothie- Received this as a sample with my UK order. This is heavenly for someone like me with dry skin. It’s not very fragrant though. But really moisturizing. Doesn’t lather at all. I had to turn off my shower and gently massage using this. It has no scrubbing properties either. My skin felt quite moisturized for 10-15 mins. All in all, a pretty nice smoothie. However, I don’t think I am gonna buy it. It’s quite expensive for what you get, esp. if I am going to still need a moisturizer :( If your skin is not very dry, then this smoothie should work for you.
  2. Aqua Mirabilis- Since the smoothie can’t be used as a scrub (and doesn’t work at all when used with a loofah), I had to use something a lil scrubby. Aqua Mirabilis is awesome. This was my first time using it. I cut the original bar into 4 small cubes. Took the smallest cube to the shower & used VERY little even though I gave my entire body a nice scrub. Very moisturizing again and I love the light fragrance of almonds =) Rinsed it out and got out of the shower. I have read on the Lush website that people don’t think this lasts at all. Not sure how they use it, but I would definitely recommend that you turn off the shower before using this product. I think my 1/4th cube can be used at least 3-4 times again. I just used the cube to get enough product on my body and then used my hands to massage it all over.
  3. The Body Shop African Monoi Moisture Balm- Even after using 1 & 2, I had to treat my skin to something moisturizing. Splattered this all over. I didn’t have to use a lot of it though.

My skin feels so soft and amazing right now :-) I wish I could eat myself. :P

New LUSH Junkie

I got converted to a LUSH junkie very recently. Spotted the store for the first time when I was in Vegas in 2009. That time, my impression was very abysmal. The sale reps came across as pushy, loud and over enthusiastic. I got a free hand massage (As far as I can remember), got intimidated and ran out of the store.

So, I stayed in St. Louis for more than 2 years and never stepped into a LUSH store. They have a full sized one and another mini store at Macy’s. Anyway, I moved to San Antonio recently and spotted the mini store at Macy’s over here. Could smell the store from such a distance. Got back home and googled the hell out. Found tons of Youtube videos. Even though I am currently sitting on 50 pounds (weight) of BBW stash, I have convinced myself that I need LUSH.

Placed a huge order with LUSH UK online because products are so much cheaper over here. Got it a couple of days back! I wish I could sleep with LUSH stuff on my bed =)

Anyway, I had my first in-store LUSH shopping experience today. Our local store was celebrating their 2nd Birthday. I RSVP’ed before hand. They had drawing every 10 mins, a special drawing for people who had worn LUSH inspired hats, and another drawing for LUSH legends. Lots of people also participated in some store games. Anyway, this is what I got-

  1. Business Times Massage Bar (free for RSVP)
  2. Strawberry for Less Massage Bar (free- won during one of the draws)
  3. Oatfix Fresh Face mask- yet to use
  4. Full of Grace serum- used it tonight after cleaning my face and makeup with Baby Face. I loved the serum. Used very little to moisturize my face. That’s all. It is pretty slick and melts REALLY fast. I rubbed a bit on the tip of my fingers and massaged the oil on my face. I don’t think I need any other moisturizer or toner after this. I do have normal to dry skin that is prone to acne.
  5. Chunk of Angel’s Delight soap- Yet to open it. The soap looks so pretty though! Couldn’t help buying it :)
  6. Chunk of Snow Globe-again, very pretty!

I was really hoping that my store would have something like ” Spend X and get a goodie bag”. I even had my shopping list ready :( Since they didnt have any such offer, I didn’t buy much. Then again, I DID BUY TONS OF STUFF JUST EARLIER THIS WEEK.

It was pretty cool to meet other LUSH enthusiasts with very interesting personalities. Never seen ladies so passionate about a bath and body care brand! :) This one lady really wanted me to buy Karma solid perfume. She rubbed some on my arm and told me that it’ll help me snag men ;) LOL.

I’ll post a picture of my LUSH stash tomorrow! Need to get some sleep now.

If 1 in 5 people in the US switched from liquid shampoo to solid, about 22 million plastic bottles would be saved from the landfill. On top of this, 6 million tonnes of preserved shampoo would be prevented from entering the environment.

Apple Rocks!

They replaced my cracked iPhone 4 for FREE! No questions asked. I took longer to drive to the Store, in fact. It helps that I had a really tiny scratch/crack in the lower right hand corner…the Genius said, “You shouldn’t have to live with a cracked iPhone, esp. when it’s so new!”. Yes, my phone’s less than a month old. Maybe that helped? Dunno. Anyway, thank you Apple <3

Last night, I went to Harvey’s with my husband. It was the best fucking experience of my life. It happened to be a comedy night. We spent more than an hour listening to gay comedy. We were the only straight couple at the bar. Of course, we were the butt of many jokes…lol…

The Japanese Tea Garden smack in the middle of San Antonio. Great relief from the sweltering heat. I’m actually letting the fountain water splash my back!

Finally got my wedding pics. The photographer took more than two months.

The ceremony pics are great. Not so thrilled with the reception pics though. :(

BUT time to start thinking about a nice wedding album. :-)

Moving to TX

I get to stay with my husband and have a real marriage. :-)

In the middle of packing my apartment— shipped 5 boxes through USPS. 7 more lying in my living room. Don’t know how many more it’ll take to pack the rest of my belongings.

AND I have a broken toe. Waiting for husband to arrive here on Friday and do the rest of the hauling.

I’ll miss Saint Louis & my coworkers & my workplace of 2 years.

I hope the new workplace and new unknown coworkers are good!
