I ordered a pair of glasses for $12.95 including S&H. Zero taxes. You need to stop visiting that brick and mortar optician shop right now and start buying eye glasses online. A good pair of glasses at your local shop will set you back by at least $70. I can’t wait for my new pair to arrive! The tentative wait time is two weeks (max).

this actually happened to me this June. I’m still waiting for my hair to grow back, so that I can get a decent cut. :( And it wasn’t that funny, really. I had a date that evening and almost canceled it.
I bought this because I know it will make a great present for someone this holiday season. I’m thinking the boyfriend’s parents, but I feel like it’s one of those gifts that really anyone could appreciate.
Bought this for only $14.50 (Incl. S&H)~ off Amazon a month back. Link.
Kevin Rose’s Pownce is dead.
Official message to users from co-founder Leah Culver:
We have some very big news today at Pownce. We will be closing the service and Mike and I, along with the Pownce technology, have joined Six Apart, the company behind such great blogging software as Movable Type, TypePad and Vox. We’re bittersweet about shutting down the service but we believe we’ll come back with something much better in 2009. We love the Pownce community and we will miss you all.
Pownce shuts down for good on Dec. 15th.

Wow. Interesting stuff. I guess it never took off. Twitter is the “big boss” when it comes to micro-blogging in less than 140 characters. I was at Pownce for sometime, but no one else was. Or at least, it seemed like no one else was using it. So I stopped using it too. It did have some cool features though, which Twitter lacks. But these are the features (or lack thereof) that make Twitter easier to use. And Pownce, more difficult.
First snow of winter 2008
“ At the end of 10 minutes, there was a pile of bodies in the blood-splattered waiting hall. We helped put the injured and dead in passing vehicles to take to the hospital. There was nobody else to help. The police came after half and hour, made enquiries and left. They offered no resistance to the two men who shot scores of people and walked away. It’s a scary thought. There is no security left in India. There is no value on life. ”— BBC NEWS | South Asia | Eyewitness: Mumbai survivors I don’t know how long it will take me to get over this. Maybe I’ll never get over it. I don’t want to either.

"I'd love to help kickstart continued development! And 0 EUR/month really does make fiscal sense too...
