March 21 2008

I did a lot of studying today and I’m very happy about that. I had lost my momentum, thanks to the relocation and the accident. I feel tired and am off to sleep. Good night Tumblr!

I can totally associate with this cartoon, because I’m sporting a nice little tummy because of extra fat and my fiancee really thought that I was pregnant. I need to show him this cartoon.

Classic piece of thinking! :D

Humans are not pieces of shit, by nature — though some think they are, and act accordingly. Humans are superior to all animals, to the earth itself, to superstitions, to traditions, to the state — to everything. We just don’t all know it, yet.
— And yet…he knows about it? Probably he’s not human then. Which means that he’s sub human, which means that he’s NOT “superior to all animals, to the earth itself, to superstitions, to traditions, to the state — to everything”…

6 Myths About Organics

boutofcontext:

Continuing through my clippings file, I found this Marie Claire article (yeah, that’s right, what of it?) dispelling common misconceptions about organics, discussed tangentially by Neurosophy, squashed, tiffany, et. al., here. The myths:

  1. Organic Food is Always Better for the Environment
  2. It’s More Nutritious
  3. It Tastes Better
  4. You Don’t Have to Be As Careful About Washing It
  5. You’re Supporting Small Farms or Eco-companies
  6. It’s Better for You

I really needed this article today, because I’ve spent the last 5 days of my life with a woman whose crazy about organic stuff and couldn’t stop criticizing my food taste. I feel like emailing her this article. I think I will.

Facebook has added enhanced privacy rules. I found them to be very cool, because I have some online friends in my Facebook account and I don’t want them to view some stuff.

I’ve thought a lot about the psychology of cheating and reckon it flows largely from one thing - you don’t value yourself as a person: if you did, you’d end a relationship that was not fulfilling because, knowing how valuable you are, you’d be sure to find someone else.
— I’ve never thought about cheating this way. Makes a lot of sense and puts an end to all those excuses that people give.
