I did a lot of sewing yesterday, because I had to alter some pants. Yes, I know how to sew! I am so proud of myself. I can also do lots of different kinds of embroidery. Learned all of it when I was in school.

I hate calling up AT&T for anything! First, they were supposed to activate my internet at my new address, but they failed to do so. Apparently, they activated the internet on someone else’s line by mistake. (How dumb). It took me 3-4 hours to solve that issue. They promised me that they would not charge me for the internet for this month and would give me a $25 credit. So, I called up today to pay my last month’s bill. It took me 1.5 hours to pay an internet bill! Can you believe that? And they didn’t give me that $25 credit towards the next bill either. The customer rep. started fighting with me and told me that since the internet was activated 7 days after the promised date, I should be given credit for only those 7 days! I was like “Hullo? I didn’t call up to hear this. I called up to ask you why exactly have you not applied the $25 credit to my account?!”.
So, after talking to some 5-6 customer reps, finally, one woman gave me a $25 credit towards by next next bill. I feel really annoyed and sick.

Ish, this is for you. Befits your blog title completely.
My fiancee managed to lave a big blob of black shoe polish on my carpet. Saw it when I woke up this morning. I’ve been trying to clean it :( Anyone has any suggestions?
By John Scalzi. I somehow missed it when it was fresh.I relate to a lot of this (or have at some point in time).
I feel choked and upset reading this and very thankful for all the things that I have. It’s funny how we can’t stop asking for more, even though there are people out there who would be very happy to be in our place. There are some neighborhoods in this city that are so poor- the houses are literally falling apart, kids walking in groups.. playing with twigs etc. I feel so sad seeing all this. I try to make their lives better whenever I can. Donating those cans of food that I hadn’t touched is just the starting point.
My computer has been running very slow since the past couple of months. I don’t want to format it, because I’ll need to install a bunch of applications and stuff. So, I’m finally taking the short cut- Cleaning out the system tray, defrag, disk clean up, running Adware and AVG Anti-Virus. It’s a real pain to work on this laptop. I hope I don’t have to format it. I hate formatting my laptop…seriously. It’s too much of work for me.

“ The aim of life is no more to control the mind, but to develop it harmoniously; not to achieve salvation here after, but to make the best use of it here below; and not to realise truth, beauty and good only in contemplation, but also in the actual experience of daily life; social progress depends not upon the ennoblement of the few but on the enrichment of democracy; universal brotherhood can be achieved only when there is an equality of opportunity - of opportunity in the social, political and individual life ”— Bhagat Singh
I did a very mean thing yesterday. We had gone out for lunch and were restaurant hunting. We stepped at an Indian restaurant, that had a $6.99 100% vegetarian buffet going on. I didn’t like the ambiance one bit, the food looked very plain, and the plate that my fiancee picked up was half broken. I didn’t feel like eating there. So, while the owner was in the kitchen, both of us slipped out of the restaurant. Of course, we hadn’t started eating or piling food on our plates.
I felt bad doing it though. The owner must have wondered about our whereabouts…but really, I didn’t want to spoil my lunch.
At a U2 concert in Glasgow, Bono asked the audience for some quiet. Then he started to slowly clap his hands. The audience gradually joined in, the silence punctuated only by thousands of steady, rhythmically clapping hands. Then he called for quiet again. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone “Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.” A lone voice from near the front pierced the silence: “Well, stop fucking clapping then!”
Haha…hilarious, even though that was precisely not the kind of response that Bono expected.
Now that is scary!

I did a lot of studying today and I’m very happy about that. I had lost my momentum, thanks to the relocation and the accident. I feel tired and am off to sleep. Good night Tumblr!Ahh, you said momentum. I too have done an immense amount of studying today. Most of my studying has been for physics. I’ve studied so much that I read what you wrote as, “I had lost my p=mv.” I think I should stop for the day…
And I always thought that Physics is my worst subject. If I’m using the word “momentum” so casually, then perhaps, I was never that bad at Physics! But yes, if you read that as p=mv, then I really think that you need to close that book. :|

I love this one for love… (as much anger, disappoint and hurt boil inside me, I’m still a hopeless romantic wishing someone will love me one day too):
I liked this list somewhat. But I didn’t like the way the author used the word “war” so casually. It’s like he’s trying to attach a greater meaning to it. In fact, we should be doing just the opposite.

Back home, I used to celebrate Holi. Didn’t realize that all these festivals lie on the same day-more or less. =)
