"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
Here’s what I think of these dresses. (via lalagirl)
I’ve started using Paul Giacherio’s Silo Theme. It’s so pretty that I HAD to use it. The best thing about this theme is that it has the box style, unlike all the other tumblr themes out there, that are clones of each other. I have been waiting since a long time for his to release it. And he’s been very helpful in customizing the CSS a bit, according to my requirements. :) He answered both my emails very promptly. This is an amazing theme if you don’t write much and would like to showcase all your links, photos, videos etc. To prevent the text posts from spilling over to other boxes, he asked me to add this to my CSS:
.post{ overflow:hidden;}
You might want to do this so that the basic layout doesn’t break. Plus, I removed the height specification from the .photobox class because it was cutting out the bottom 1/3rd part of the pictures.
Bush proposes $3.1 trillion spending plan - The Boston Globe
“The budget protects America and encourages economic growth,” the president said, urging Congress to pass the budget quickly. He added that the plan reflects that “our top priority is to defend our country, so we fund our military, as well as fund the homeland security.”
Amazing sarcasm. I love this writer.
I must be the only person who didn’t watch the Super Bowl tonight. In fact, I don’t understand these American games. I still love good old cricket. Me and another friend went to watch this amazing Spanish movie called The Orphanage by Guillermo del Toro (the same guy who made Pan’s Labyrinth) at an independent theater. It was totally worth it. Check out my blog for a review.
Someone tried to hack my GMail account. I got a “Forgot Password” link in my secondary email address. I’ve been changing all my passwords and security questions. In between all this, my Yahoo! email account that I use for lots of purposes manages to get locked! The “Forgot Password” page for Yahoo wasn’t working either…very funny. I spent the entire night with a phone dangling from my ear.
Finally I connected to their main number using another phone…and luckily I got through the other phone in a couple of minutes. Took me another 2 hours before I got a link in another email account and managed to get my Yahoo account unlocked.
Lesson learned: Keep separate email addresses for every single blog/group/correspondence group etc. You never know who will try to hack what. Also keep two-three email addresses that you don’t use anywhere on the internet. You these email addresses as your secondary email address, so that the hacker will never be able to guess your alternate email address. Phew!
I hope to say goodbye to Yahoo before MSFT acquires it, which it very well might…I think. Ballmer seems to be really stubborn this time and I’m scared of his crazy antics.
1.25 pm here and am finally going to sleep! What a weekend!
I have been on hold for more than 1 hour 20 mins. The average wait time when I made the call was supposed to be 25 minutes. I wanted to ask them a question about the DNS settings. If you’ve noticed, I’ve changed the URL to my personal domain address: http://bitsncrumbs.com. Basically, I wanted to ask if I could use my main domain name with my WP.com blog and how would I go about it…whether my mail settings would be affected etc.
Don’t know what’s going to happen to Yahoo’s customer service after Microsoft acquires it. Any guesses?
UPDATE: Finally someone answered my call after a record 1 hr 35 mins.

I have never been able to understand the Flickr madness that has engulfed almost everyone. Most of my pictures are stored in CDs and very recently, I’ve uploaded lots of them on Facebook, as a backup. Plus, Facebook doesn’t have any upload limit. Whereas on Flickr, you need to stay within 100 mb/month or get a Pro account (which I don’t want). People want to show off where they’ve been to…they want to show off their new digital SLR and they crave attention. Very few people do it for genuine reasons- wanting to have a backup, sharing the pictures with their family, friends etc. The saddest thing is that I seem to be getting affected by this madness too. I use my other Flickr account to upload photos (that I use in posts) for my WP.com blog. When I click a picture, I don’t want to think “Hey, this would make a great pic! I need to put it on Flickr”. Instead I want to think “Hey, this would make a great pic and make me remember this moment forever”.
