"Tell the chef, the beer is on me."
I have been using a T-Mobile Family Plan since the past 1.5 years. I never knew that I can browse internet for free on my cell phone, until 2 days back. The T Zones Web that provides internet access for phones (that are not Blackberry/Sidekick/Smartphones) costs $5.99/month only. So I called them up and asked if they are charging me anything extra.
Customer Rep:No Ma’m, you have no extra charges on your account. If we charge you extra for any service that’s not included in your plan, then you are notified immediately.
Me: Well that’s …weird? I can browse the internet for free (realized that I shouldn’t have told them that).
Customer Rep: Oh really? Hmmm…let me check.
(checking). Customer Rep: Would you like to subscribe for the Tzones Web on your phone?
Me: Yes, why not?
Customer Rep: (Activates $5.99 TZones web) All done!
Me: Thanks!
Then I did some Google search and realized that apparently, some other people have also been able to browse the internet for free, without paying $5.99. So I went back and canceled T Zones Web. Just to make sure that I wasn’t being charged for per kb transfer, I called them up and also checked my.t-mobile.com account. And guess what? No charges ;)
Funny, isn’t it? There’s a big loophole in their implementation if this is happening. I wonder how many other people are being able to do the same.
I believe you could also get this to work on your Blackberry if you could activate this and get away without paying $20/month.

"Basically the price of a night on the town!"
"I'd love to help kickstart continued development! And 0 EUR/month really does make fiscal sense too...
