CFA Level II exam is only two months away and I’m already losing sleep over it. Probably most of you don’t even know what CFA is. You must be thinking that I’m mad because I’m getting worried about an exam that is TWO F**King months away. Well…I’ve already been studying for it since the past 8 months. If I don’t clear it on the 7th of June, 2008…then I’ll need to re-take it next year. That means, spending more time with the same books for another year, which is totally not good for my social life. Since the time I’ve enrolled in this program, I don’t remember how many parties I’ve been to, how many times I’ve gotten drunk or done anything without thinking about Fixed Assets, Inventories, Derivatives, Interest Rates…ZzzzZ.
Time to hit my books again. Everybody at Tumblr seems to be in a state of absolute bliss- posting pictures, quotes, links etc. I wish I could do it again.
It’s Raining! Hallelujah! I’m so happy because I can keep my sweaters away. Yay!

sunluvr: Yahoo Launches Site Focused on Women
I like when things are female focused. I just hope it doesn’t become just about the “best jeans for your body” or “when is it time to leave him.” That is why Cosmo was invented.
I saw this page around 2 weeks back and found it to be very unimpressive. Unfortunately, it does seem like a page that only focuses on clothes, fashion, beauty and gossip. No mention of technology, finance or good stuff that I care about.
Please email me right away and tell me you are alive.. Thank you.
Mom
Sounds like my mom totally, even though I talk to her, without fail, every single day (almost). And we are continents apart.
I am too lazy to get up from this chair, walk to the fridge and pour myself a drink.
This is why I need a robot butler.
Unfortunately, I’m that way too. I’m hungry, but I won’t cook anything…because I’m feeling very lazy.

Still trying to figure out what tumblr is all about and I couldn’t help but notice this on the main page. Is this what tumblr is all about?
(via carocat) I don’t think Tumblr is about getting the most number of reblogs or followers or making it any sort of a number game. It totally depends upon your intent and what you plan to do with your tumblelog. I post stuff that I find interesting and if others can find value in it, then great!
The Twitter Graph- I’m in the “This looks interesting” phase. Have been there since Twitter was introduced. (Thanks to carocat)

Hubert Selby Jr., Requiem for a Dream
This is one of my favorite books, I highly recommend it.
(via sailingonthesea) I like this quote.
Amwelles has made some amazing themes available for download at this website. The bullets theme is my favorite! Please do check them out and thank her! :-)
“American Airlines’ Boeing 767-200 fleet will be the first to be retrofitted, but the company has been adament that their technology is not limited to any one airline and has future plans to work with Virgin America.”
Yippie! SO looking forward to this =) I can switch off that useless Television sets located at the back of the seat in front of me.
It seems like most Tumblr users are Mac people. But there must be some PC/Windows Tumblrs out there. If you are a Windows user, can you explain why in a reblog?
If you are a former Windows user, like me, you can still participate. Just reblog why you used a PC before you switched.
In my case, I thought PCs were the real deal, while Macs were slow and for posers. Two years ago, the most serious computer users at my company (Kunal and Andrew) were like, Yeah, Macs are so much better. Reluctantly, I tried one and immediately fell in love. I soon enjoyed being a computer user without needing to be a computer expert anymore.
What a ‘classic’ way of getting reblogs: ask questions! And here I am…not answering the question, but doing what the original author wanted me to do, that is reblog his post.
Dear David Karp, I need some sort of bookmark to keep track of where I left off on my dashboard. Sometimes I don’t have the time to look through all the posts at once. It would be great if you could work on this. Tumblr love, JPAJust use a private text post. That’s what I do, anyway, and I believe Marco suggested the same thing awhile back.
Use a feed reader.
It really is all about positioning, it seems.
Unless you are like me and never invite anyone into your Facebook world if you do not know them in real life. It is bad enough keeping in touch with people we know not to have to contend with random, faceless people we will never meet.
Old-fashioned? Yes. Clutter-free/ feng shui approach to life? Oh, yes. Not up your street? See if I care ;-)
You need to be pretty stupid to believe that you’ll get along with someone else based upon your choice of clothes, shoes, books, movies etc. It’s easy to “build” an online profile, which might be as fake as you are in real life. One of the many reasons why I’m uncomfortable blurring the lines between real life and online friends. It’s not always what you think it is. :-) There were times when I thought that I really like a person, only to be exposed later to some weird thinking on their part and then, sadly realize that I don’t really like him/her THAT much!
I don’t care if people feel that I don’t have many “friends”. It’s always more valuable to add people whom you really know, instead of adding just about anyone you met in some random party or a meeting somewhere…or worse, have not even met.
