Soup.io will be discontinued :(

Dear soup.io fans and users,

today, we have to share very sad news. Soup.io will stop working in less than 10 days. :(

It's breaking our heart and we honestly tried whatever we could to keep the platform up and running. But the high costs and low revenue streams made it impossible to continue with it. We invested a lot of personal time and money to operate the platform, but when it's over, it's over.

We are really sorry. Soup.io is part of the internet history and online for one and a half decades.

Here are the hard facts:
- In 10 days the platform will stop working.
- Backup your data in this time
- We will not keep backups nor can we recover your data

July, 20th, 2020 is the due date.

Please, share your thoughts and feelings here.

Your Soup.io TEAM

So so pretty. I couldn’t stop myself from reblogging this. I’m filled with love currently. :)

It’s so difficult for me to have fun and be happy right now. I really needed this reminder. Thank you very much! :)

Relocation Update

I have hardly read anything over the internet in the last few days. So I have absolutely nothing to share with you people, except my sob relocation story. I don’t think I’ve worked so much in a long long time.

Things that I did today:

  1. Got the gas fixed for the new house in the new city
  2. Got lots of paperwork for my employment done.
  3. Got most of my furniture sold
  4. Went out with beau to get formals for him
  5. Started packing
  6. Still more packing to do
  7. More packing
  8. More packing

Did I mention that my entire body’s aching? Since I sold my bed and mattress, I have nothing to sleep on (except the carpet). I hope life gets better in the next couple of weeks. Every dog has its Day! Yay! :)

The Big Move

This is the longest I’ve stayed from Tumblr in the last couple of weeks. My house moving has been really bumpy. Too much work and I’m really exhausted…extremely tired. Haven’t slept much either. I still have a lot of work to be taken care of.

Two Important Lessons that I learned in the past two days-

  1. Prayers can do miracles- I had my mom and an aunt praying for me religiously, and I feel that it has somehow made things a lil easier. :)

  2. If you need (not want) something really badly, then you’ll find a way of getting it.

I hope you noticed my absence though. ;)

Margaret Atwood

claudia:

you fit into me
like a hook into an eye

a fish hook
an open eye

-A short poem by Margaret Atwood

I worship her.

Oh me too! I’ve read almost all her books. My favorite is “The Blind Assassin”, which also won the Booker Prize. This is my favorite poem by Atwood:

This is a Photograph of Me

It was taken some time ago At first it seems to be a smeared print: blurred lines and grey flecks blended with the paper;

then, as you scan it, you can see something in the left-hand corner a thing that is like a branch: part of a tree (balsam or spruce) emerging and, to the right, halfway up what ought to be a gentle slope, a small frame house.

In the background there is a lake, and beyond that, some low hills.

(The photograph was taken the day after I drowned.

I am in the lake, in the center of the picture, just under the surface.

It is difficult to say where precisely, or to say how large or how small I am: the effect of water on light is a distortion.

but if you look long enough eventually you will see me.)

Such a gem! From deep in the archives…an explanation of What is Electronic Mail?

Electronic Mail means high speed data transportation. One of the most advanced methods is terminals talking to each other. You mailbox is the terminal on your desk. Punch a key and today’s correspondence and messages are displayed instantly.

I can’t stop laughing.

Wow. Two young boys…talking like this? Good Lord!
