Very neat theme. Only if I were not saddled with work…

Haha…very funny!

I’m sorry I have been awfully busy and haven’t really posted anything in the past 10 days. Neither did I get the time to go through your tumblelogs. Just at a very difficult crossroad of my life- shifting, job etc. Thank you for sticking with me and for not ‘unfollow’-ing me (except for 1 person). Hopefully, the mad rush will settle down soon.

Accident on Freeway

This past one week of my life has been the longest ever. Those of you who read my tumblelog might remember that I was relocating to St. Louis. I spent a couple of days packing my stuff. When I thought that nothing could go wrong…I had a terrible accident on I-44 E, 50 miles away from St. Louis. The car tire burst and the car got out of control. It broke through the metalbarriers and landed on the opposite side of the freeway (where the traffic flows in the opp. direction). There were three 16 wheelers just inches away from us. Our car got totaled. I don’t know how we managed to survive. It was a horrific accident and I thought that I was living the final moments of my life. I guess my determination to not die like this, on a road, is what motivated me to keep my eyes open and save us. And it really helped. A very kind lady stopped for us and helped us remove the important stuff from our wrecked car, and also took the pains of leaving us all the way at our friend’s place in St. Louis. I don’t even know how I could ever thank her for this.

I’m really grateful for the fact that I’m alive and it’s definitely a miracle that me and my fiancee got away without any injuries. Even more surprising is the fact that nobody hit us and that we didn’t hit any car by mistake. Like the lady who helped us said “The best way to repay me is to pass on this deed of kindness to someone else in his time of need”. And I plan to do just that.

So, I’m in a new city now…with no car. The first thing I need to do is buy a new car ASAP. There are so many other logistics that I need to take care of. I’ve hardly found any time to come online. I hope life gets better.

Today

Today is a big day. I’m done packing…finally. I’ll be relocating and might not be online much, (for the next 48 hours), unless I click pics and post them via my cell phone. I hope everything goes off well. There is still lots of work to be taken care of, after I reach St. Louis- unpacking, buying new furniture etc etc. I hope it’s all worth it. Please pray for us! :)

It’s so difficult for me to have fun and be happy right now. I really needed this reminder. Thank you very much! :)
